Wednesday was off, as planned.
Thursday was supposed to be pitchers workout. It was wet and coach said we'd wreck the baseballs so instead he decided to ahve us run teh staircase and halls for a hour.
Productive use of my time (/sarcasm)
I planned to use the day to get in a 90% max squat, to prep me for a max out the 27th. But my legs were to fatigued from the "conditioning" so I elected to go to the basketball game against our rivals. Watched us get destroyed by 20, two days after we played the best team in the state down to the final minute.
Anyways, Friday I got my work in. It was about 65 degrees when I threw.
Just average again, I did a lot more film review, and pretty much my mechanics are hanging there. Not enough improvement, and instant reversion if I stop my conscious thought about them while throwing.
I think I've learned how to fully exert myself and I think my arm is plenty strong. That being said, I've made the decision, at least for the next few weeks to avoid any top end throwing and focus purely on mechanics.
I'm gonna bust my ass and see what I can accomplish.
Lifted ME Lower, although it wasn't legit ME, just tryign to get used to a bunch of weight on my back.
Squatted singles at 345, 355, and 345.
They were all crazy easy, my legs had plenty of strength, it's just the pure pressure and stress of having the load that I wanted to feel.
I want 405lbs badly on the 27th. I"m gonna bust ass to get it. 375lbs is my previous best and I had somethign in the tank that day.
Today (Saturday) was DE Upper Day, took it relatively easy. Got the lift ina bit too late as well, my brother and dad were watching the black night, and well, what ended up being a trip to the kitchen to make my preworkout drink resulted in me sitting down and watching the entire thing. Good movie by the way, the questions and thoughts it posed were great.
Band Bench 6x3 reds + 50lbs
Swiss Bar Bench 3x8 120lbs
Pullups 1 set of 7, and then repped out for a set of 9
Swiss bar bent rows 3x10 115lbs
So my goals for this coming Saturday are the following:
Bench Press: 200lbs (yeah haha, we'll see, I haven't straight maxed this since before I started my benching, I don't know where this actually is, I just have calculated maxes at about 200lbs)
That would put my total at 1105lbs, not too shabby
I'm right about 190lbs, at 6'2".
I intend to write a recap at the end of teh year, as well as set my goals for the future
