KC man, your thought process gave me a good laugh. And conversely, motivated me today, cause idk, I felt like there was an added expectation for myself.
Defranco talks about rice digs on his sight. I love them. Got a 25lb bag of rice for 8 bucks from sams, 2 dollar bucket from Firehouse subs and then it's great.
The first few times I felt some popping in my hands, that's gone, and my hands feel healthier and stronger after only a few uses.
I'm loving them so far.
Man I feel ya on that one. It's a hard situation to be in.
For some reason, this year our head coach has mellowed out and is doing a pretty darn good job. That being said, the assistant is still all too confident and all too much into the idea of absolutes in baseball.
Don't let anyone bring you down.
Do what you need to do to reach your goals.
So crappy crappy nights sleep. Went to bed at 12:30 got up at 6 to finish cramming for physics. That being said, I woke up at about 3am, which was weird.
I haven't woken up regularly in the middle of the night in nearly two years. I've done it every night for the last week! It's terrible, for the first time ina while I'm getting consistently reasonable bed times, and I keep waking up at freaking 4am.
I've also got the worst sinuses right now they are destroying me. The weather going from high of 45 to high of 75 and rotating is messing with me.
So when I got up I had a full can of spike (which will usually put me bouncing off the walls), I could have fallen asleep right after.
Got through AP physics alright, actually thought I did really well, but we'll see.
Baseball after school, to wet to hit, so we just took infield. I worked in my new first base mitt. Looks like that's where Coach wants me this year, which is fine. I feel like I can be a team leader from that spot and the bump.
Although i didn't get to redeem last weeks mediocre hitting performance.
(I hit at home on sunday and ripped)
After we did that we did hills, which everyone took almost too hard, and then we had 3 laps around the field. I felt dizzy the whole time, but whatever.
Home to study for lovely AP European History.
Our teacher has a lovely system that involves her having minimal work, yet gives us so much busy work I can't just do independent study. I have to do stupid worksheets that won't get collected.
We have a test on three chapters, only one has even been discussed (by that i mean go over generally via a dumb powerpoint), another hasn't been touched, and the third we found out was on the test when she assiggned the test thursday or soemthign like that. Needless to say, i can't feel good about the material. Although i will have a stack of about 160 flash cards when all is said and done. WOOO haha
So when i hit my limit on flash cards, I decided to get a short leg workout in although i'm very crunched for time today.
Just did plyo's. I have a feeling I will disappoint myself with my Squat at the end of the year, simply because I haven't run a squat cycle ina while. That being said I need to remember I'm training for baseball not for powerlifting.
Jumping went well, although the deck was slick, so i lost some power as I have to cover a decent amount of horizontal ground to get hi on the staircase.
Also did force absorbing stuff. Basically just landing from a 40" fall. Challenging and I think it seems to work.
Well I get to teach myself a chunk of european history tonight.
Best wishes all.
