Days 140-146: threw twice (again 100 ft max) and threw a 80 pitch bullpen saturday. 3/4 speed and worked on mechanics, control, and threw 30 change ups. arm and back 100%. took some ground balls at third and some flyballs in center field (i'm really starting to dig center field lol). did my usual band work but no shoulder workouts. did balance drills before pen and i'm getting better pitching from the stretch. don't know when i'll start throwing full speed i guess when my arm feels up to it. haven't long tossed and I probably won't until early spring or whenever its warm enough. it's gonna start getting cold here soon and by the time i'm ready to long toss there will probably be 6" of snow on the ground lol. Today was my first weight lifting day! woo! did chest and abs:
flat bench db press, 1 set w/25's next 4 w/30's.
incline bench db press, 1 set w/20's next 3 w/25's
pullovers, 1 set w/20's, next 4 w/30's
pushups, 2 sets of 10 reps each
knee raise & sit-up superset: 1st set 10 knee raises, 30 sit-ups, 2nd set 10 knee raises, 20 sit-ups
knee pull-ins & crunch superset: 1st set, 10 pull-ins, 20 crunches, 2nd set, 10 pull-ins, 20 crunches
haven't worked out in so long so everything will probably be really sore tomorrow. won't be doing any explosive power training (other than squats) until probably mid november/next week at the earliest. Want to get on a diet for weight gain (not just "eats tons of food" like my bro tells me) so i'll be looking into that.
